Inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz, Alice Dreaming is a large cast play written about teenagers, for teenagers.
Trapped by the expectations of others, a girl escapes into her imagination. Following an Albatross, Alice takes a journey across Australia that eventually brings her closer to home and to understanding who she is.

Cast of 29 speaking roles + chorus
length: 60 - 80 minutes
Offers a complete classroom tool with lesson plans.
Covers a Broad range of teenage themes including teenage identity, environmental degradation, ecological survival, friendship, peer groups, relationships with parents, political power and social responsibility.
Lends itself to a wide range of theatrical styles such as puppetry and mask work allowing students to explore how drama works in a variety of different styles and forms.
