Melancholic, Spacious and Dreamy, Oud Virtuoso Joseph Tawadros doesn’t fail to deliver with another new direction on his new album. This time his musical imagination sees him teaming up his Oud with Violin, Piano, Electric Guitar, Trombone and Percussion on his latest musical adventure.
Moving away from his usual high energy and fiery performances his audiences have grown to love, Betrayal of Sacred Sunflower, is a more reflective, meditative, melancholic and emotional journey. Most of the pieces are minimalist and spacious in approach with long lingering and vast notes giving the listener space to dream and to create their own images. The interplay between the instruments on the album is beautiful, capturing sensitivity and allowing Tawadros' signature phrases to really shine through.
